Welcome to the website of the Urbana Chapter, National Society Daughters of the American Revolution (NSDAR or DAR)! We are located in Champaign County, Ohio. Our members come from all over the county, state, and country. We also have associate members from around the state and country. We are excited about our Revolutionary heritage, and all of our activities to maintain American heritage and promote patriotism. Click on any link to learn more about us and our efforts.

The chapter was recently awarded the Bronze Award for the American Spirit Magazine subscriptions during the 2021 year. Many members subscribe to the award winning magazine, and the chapter sponsors subscriptions for the schools and libraries in Champaign Country, Ohio. How to Become a Member

DAR members come from a variety of backgrounds and interests, but all of our members have an ancestor who contributed to the Revolutionary War. Patriot ancestors were soldiers, privateers, businessmen, and others who contributed to the independence effort. Any woman 18 years or older, regardless of race, religion, or ethnic background, who can prove lineal descent from a patriot of the American Revolution is eligible to join.
